Phone Number Email Generator
Two tools in one. Build the email-to-text address that delivers an email as an SMS to a North American mobile, or create sets of fake contacts with a matching phone number and email address for testing sign-up forms and CRMs.

How the Phone Number Email Generator Works
Pick a mode and get addresses you can copy or download.
Choose Gateway or Test Data
Gateway mode builds carrier addresses for a real number. Test data mode creates fictional contacts from scratch.
Enter a Number or Set Options
Type a 10-digit US or Canadian number and pick a carrier, or choose country, email pattern and domain for test records.
Copy or Export
Copy a single address, or download test records as CSV or JSON ready for your seed scripts.
What Phone-Based Email Addresses Are Used For
From server alerts to cleaner test databases.
Carriers in the US and Canada have long offered email gateways that turn an email into a text message. Separately, developers need contact records where the phone and email fields belong together but point at nobody real.
- Server and Monitoring Alerts: Small scripts and legacy systems that can only send email can still reach an on-call engineer's phone by text.
- Texting From an Email Client: Send a short note to your own phone from a desktop without an SMS API or subscription.
- Home Automation Notifications: Routers, cameras and NAS devices with email alerts can forward them to a phone as SMS.
- Seeding Sign-Up and CRM Databases: Test records keep the phone and email of each contact consistent, just like real customers.
- Testing Duplicate and Merge Rules: Phone-based email patterns make it easy to check that your system links the two identifiers correctly.
- Safe Email Testing: Reserved example domains cannot receive mail, so a test run can never email a real person by accident.
Carrier Email-to-Text Gateway Domains
Send to the 10-digit number at the carrier's domain, e.g. 2025550147@vtext.com.
| Carrier | SMS gateway | MMS gateway | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Verizon | vtext.com | vzwpix.com | SMS limited to about 160 characters |
| T-Mobile | tmomail.net | tmomail.net | Same domain for text and picture messages |
| Metro by T-Mobile | mymetropcs.com | mymetropcs.com | Runs on the T-Mobile network |
| Google Fi | msg.fi.google.com | msg.fi.google.com | Single domain for SMS and MMS |
| Cricket Wireless | sms.cricketwireless.net | mms.cricketwireless.net | Delivery can be inconsistent |
| US Cellular | email.uscc.net | mms.uscc.net | Check with the carrier before relying on it |
| AT&T | txt.att.net | mms.att.net | Email-to-text retired in June 2025 |
| Bell / Telus / Rogers (Canada) | txt.bell.ca / msg.telus.com / pcs.rogers.com | — | Availability varies by plan |
Gateways depend on the carrier the number is with today. If a number has been ported, messages must go to the new carrier's domain. Carriers can rate-limit, filter or shut down these services at any time, so use a dedicated SMS API for anything important.
Email-to-Text Gateways vs SMS APIs
Both put a message on a phone, but they suit very different jobs.
Carrier Email Gateway
Email to SMS- Free, using any email account
- No sign-up or code required
- You must know the recipient's carrier
- No delivery receipts
- Messages may be delayed or filtered as spam
- Some carriers have retired their gateways
SMS API
Twilio, Vonage, Plivo and others- Works for any number without knowing the carrier
- Delivery status and error codes
- Supports two-way messaging
- Handles opt-outs and compliance tools
- Paid per message plus number rental
- Requires registration for business traffic in the US
Responsible Use of Phone-Linked Email Addresses
Gateways reach real phones; test data should reach nobody.
Recommended Practices
- Only text people who opted in — gateway messages still count as texts to the recipient.
- Keep gateway messages short — long emails are cut off or split into several texts.
- Use reserved domains for test data — example.com, example.org, example.net and .example never deliver mail.
- Confirm the carrier first — ask the recipient rather than guessing across every gateway.
- Move to an SMS API as you grow — gateways are not built for customer-facing volume.
Avoid These Uses
- Sending bulk or marketing texts — carriers block gateway spam and it may break messaging laws.
- Emailing every gateway for one number — spraying all carriers looks like abuse and can get your email address blocked.
- Using real domains in test records — a fake address on gmail.com might belong to a real person.
- Relying on gateways for verification codes — delivery is not guaranteed and the number may have moved carriers.
- Collecting numbers without consent — store and message contact details only with permission.

Phone Number Email Generator FAQs
Email-to-text addresses and test contact data explained.
Address the email to the 10-digit number followed by the carrier's gateway domain, for example 2025550147@vtext.com for Verizon. Gateway mode builds the address for you.
Ask the owner, since numbers can move between carriers. A carrier lookup service can also tell you, but that is outside this tool.
No. AT&T retired its txt.att.net and mms.att.net gateways in June 2025, so they are shown as retired.
Rarely. They are mostly a North American feature, so the gateway mode only accepts 10-digit US and Canadian numbers.
The SMS domain delivers a short plain-text message. The MMS domain allows longer text and attachments such as images, where the carrier supports it.
No. They use example.com, example.org, example.net or .example, which are reserved by RFC 2606 and RFC 6761 for documentation and testing, so mail to them is never delivered to anyone.
Yes. Choose the phone-digits or qa+phone-digits pattern to put the number inside the email address, which makes records easy to trace in logs.
No. Addresses and test records are created entirely in your browser.
